Provide modest accessibility enhancements at Maplewood Park, such as accessible picnic tables and benches and improved accessibility for existing pathways. Community Impact: Enhance accessibility and inclusivity so everyone can enjoy recreational activities. Upgrade pathways and adaptive equipment and improve facilities.

Save Our Streams: upgrade public access and amenities - awareness & educational signs

Set aside funds for Cemetery Pond community education signs. Not an immediate action (subject to additional funds needed). Community Impact: Support the future installation of interpretive signs near wetland ponds to educate the community about preserving native frog species and to highlight their historical significance. Upgrade public access and amenities.

Safeguarding Our Wetlands: Cemetery Pond Land Funds

Set aside funds for Cemetery Pond expansion. Not an immediate action (subject to additional funds needed). Community Impact: Preserve vital wetlands, protect local ecosystems, maintain biodiversity, safeguard natural habitats, promote environmental sustainability, and enhance community access to green space for recreation and education.

Field of Honor: Indigenous Lacrosse Practice Grounds

Design and construct a natural grass practice area for lacrosse at Maplewood Park. The practice area would be about half an acre, with a rebound wall and net. No additional parking or roadway improvements would be added for accessing the park. Community Impact: Promote equity by creating a dedicated lacrosse practice space that will benefit more than 300 participating families, many from underserved and marginalized communities.
