A. Improving pedestrian safety at Hamilton & Monument Ave

This project will add a pedestrian crossing light and ADA-accessible curb ramps at Hamilton & Monument, improving safety for those using the pedestrian overpass and exit ramp entrance

B. Improving pedestrian safety at Humphrey Calder

This project will add a raised crosswalk with zebra striping and flashing lights at Thompson St. and Stuart Ave. It will also create additional fence entrances, improving pedestrian access to the Humphrey Calder playground and recreation field.

E. Installing a bus shelter near VMFA

This project will install a bus shelter at stop #1083 on Grove & Arthur Ashe near Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, providing seating and weather protection for transit riders.

D. Traffic calming and pedestrian safety improvements at Kensington Avenue & Nansemond Street

This project will add curb bump-outs and a speed table at the intersection of Kensington & Nansemond to calm traffic and improve pedestrian safety.

C. Improving pedestrian safety at Ellwood Ave

This project will install Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons on Ellwood Ave to slow down traffic and improve pedestrian safety.

F. Improving pedestrian safety at Belmont Library

This project will add curb extensions at the intersection of Belmont & Ellwood Ave to calm traffic, shorten crossing distances, and improve pedestrian safety.

H. Painting Mural at Humphrey Calder Community Center

This project will create a large-scale mural along the back of the Humphrey Calder Community Center, adding vibrant public art that reflects and celebrates the local community.

G. Expanding Community Garden at Humphrey Calder

This project will expand the existing community garden at Humphrey Calder, allowing for more garden plots, increased access to fresh produce, and additional space for community engagement
