Breathing New Life on Torrence Avenue

Trees contribute to our environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, helping conserve energy, and beautifying our community. Breathing New Life on Torrence Avenue is $30k project to plant 60 trees along Torrence Avenue.

Light the Night

Light the Night is a project that will install flood lights onto existing light post in CPD designated "hotspots." Hotspots are locations identified by the Chicago Police Department as areas prone to repetitive acts of crime or violence.

Safe, Playable and Competitive Baseball Fields for George Washington High School

Safety is a concern for our student athletes. The Rowan Park baseball fields are in need of safe and bigger dugouts to accommodate high school teams, as well as other safety upgrades (pitching mound, drainage system, etc).

Exercise Stations Along the Burnham Greenway Bike Path

The Burnham Greenway is a 5.3 mile long bike path located on (E. 100th St. to Ave O). Trail activities include biking, incline skating, wheel chair accessibility, and walking. We are looking to install six exercise stations every half mile. Fitness stations will include dips, crunches, pull ups and more.

Commercial Avenue Gateway Park

A gateway park near the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and Commercial Avenue that can serve to establish an identity for the north end of the Commercial Corridor.
