Welcome to the Participatory Budgeting electronic sample ballot for the 36th Ward in Chicago (PB36), courtesy of the Stanford Crowdsourced Democracy Team. By participating in the PB36 election, you can help decide how to spend public funds on community projects in the 36th Ward.

The following pages will help you familiarize yourself with the project proposals for 2019. You will first select the percentage of the 2019 36th Ward aldermanic menu budget to be devoted exclusively to street resurfacing. Second, you will be asked to rank your top three (3) favorite project choices to allocate the remainder of the 36th Ward’s menu money. After you go through and select your 3 projects on the ballot page, MAKE SURE you rank them from 1st to 3rd at the very bottom of the page. If you do not choose the ranked order, the projects will be ranked according to the order you selected them on the ballot.

Please note that you cannot use this website to actually cast your vote! Instead, you need to come to one of the many voting sites that will be located through the ward or contact the ward to register and request a code to vote online. Voting is open to all residents of the Ward ages 14 and up, regardless of citizenship status. Please see times and locations below.

If you don't have an access code for voting or for more information, call 773-745-4636 or visit www.pbchicago.org
