
Welcome to the Central New York Community Foundation’s participatory budgeting project voting platform, using software designed by the Stanford Crowdsourced Democracy Team.
Open voting periods:
August 20, 2026 9:00 am-7:00 pm: Online.
In-person voting is open to the general public 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Center for the Arts at Homer.
On the ballot, you will find four proposals designed by Cortland County nonprofit organizations seeking to increase accessible, high quality childcare throughout Cortland County. When you cast your vote, you will decide which of the four proposals should be awarded $75,000. Please consider which project you think will best increase accessible, high quality childcare throughout Cortland County.

In order to vote, you must be 14 years old and a resident of Cortland County.
How to vote online
When you click "vote now", you will be given an option to have a unique code texted to your cell phone or emailed to you. The texting option will provide you with your code immediately. The email option will provide you with your code within a timely manner.
When you register, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. Please note that this is solely for the purposes of informing you of future updates. Your vote will be submitted anonymously and not be tied to any identifying information.
How to vote in-person
In-person voting will be held on August 20, 2026, 5pm-7pm at Center for the Arts at Homer (see information below).
