Outdoor Equipment & Fitness Zone at Ramona Park

The Fitness Zone will grant residents access to seven outdoor exercise stations that encourage healthy lifestyles in North Long Beach.

Solar Powered Lights at DeForest Park

Install four 24-ft solar lights in DeForest Park. The lights would increase visibility thus raising the sense of safety in the community.

Refurbishing The Huey / Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Restore and upgrade the grounds of the Huey helicopter / Vietnam Memorial in Houghton Park returning it to an area of remembrance.

Security Cameras in Higher-Crime Zones

Install 16 security cameras to assist LBPD in reducing crime in higher-crime areas of District 9.

Location: Intersections of Artesia/Atlantic, Artesia/Orange, Artesia/Cherry, and Harding/Orange

   

Alley Lighting in Higher-Crime Zones

Add lighting to existing utility poles in 20 higher-crime alley locations selected by LBPD to reduce crime incidents and improve public safety.

Location: Artesia Blvd on the north, 64th St on the south, Cherry Ave on the east and Orange Ave on the west.

   

South Street Beautification

Improve landscaping and appearance of neglected residential and commercial areas of South Street with new trees, concrete cutouts, and sidewalk slabs.

Location: South Street (on north side) from Downey Avenue to Dairy Street

Bike Lanes on Artesia Blvd

Make District 9 more bike-friendly with dedicated lanes for bicycles along Artesia Blvd.
