Welcome to the ballot for Your Voice, Your Choice: Parks and Streets for Seattle's District 5, courtesy of the Stanford Crowdsourced Democracy Team. You are about to decide how to spend $3 million of Seattle’s City budget.
$3 million of the Seattle city budget has been allocated to YVYC 2018. $2 million will be divided equally among City Council districts (approximately $285,000 per district), and $1 million will be dedicated to projects in Equity & Environment Initiative Focus Areas: geographic areas where communities of color, immigrants, refugees, people with low incomes, Native peoples, and limited-English proficiency individuals tend to live.
On this website, you can familiarize yourself with this year’s projects and vote on the digital ballot. For more information on the projects on the ballot, please read the detailed project reviews by clicking the "Read Project Reviews" button below.
Voting is open to anyone age 11 and up (13 and up to vote online) who lives, works, goes to school, worships, receives services, volunteers, or is part of a program in the City of Seattle.
Each voter may cast one ballot per City Council district. To vote in additional districts, please return to the main page after voting in this district.
Each voter may choose up to three (3) projects per district.
