BIRTHWORKERS OF COLOR “Birthworkers Of Color Doula Training”

At Birthworkers of Color Collective we train Doulas from the perspective that all birthing people have the right to choose to have children or not in a safe, healthy & consensual environment and have the education to make the best informed decision for themselves. Young pregnant and parenting people struggle to find resources and have their rights respected and heard in pregnancy/birth & beyond. We are committed to reproductive justice by training youth to serve youth. Doulas are individuals who provide information, support, comfort, & advocacy for folks who might be pregnant or give birth. A doula is a non-medical support person who often works with other providers and is an integral part of the pregnant person’s care team. After this training youth will: ● Advocate for and with themselves, their clients, and families to ensure that their communities thrive ● Be prepared to start their own business as a private practice Doula with continued support via a one year membership to our Collective
