King County Local Services-Participatory Budgeting

White Center 2022 Participatory Budgeting Ballot – Programs/Services

Welcome to the King County Local Services particpatory budgeting digital ballot, courtesy of the Stanford Crowdsourced Democracy Team. By casting your ballot, you will be deciding how you want to allocate $540,000 for programs or services.

Voting will be open from Tuesday August 2 to Wednesday August 10.

King County plans to do all workable projects chosen by this vote. If a chosen project is not workable, King County may need to change it or do another project instead. King County Local Services will tell the community about how and when the chosen projects will be done, and about any problems that might make the projects difficult or not workable.

Here are some examples of why a project might not be workable: it costs more than the amount provided; it is not consistent with King County’s goals or legal requirements that apply to the use of county funds; it is not an allowable land use; King County cannot reach agreement with private property owners.

Come vote at our pop-up voting station:

  • Tuesday Aug. 2, 2-6 p.m.: Greenbridge/Community Space (9901 8th Avenue SW, Seattle)
