Welcome to the Participatory Budgeting electronic ballot for the 29th Ward in Chicago (PB29) courtesy of the Stanford Crowdsourced Democracy Team.

On this website, you can familiarize yourself with the project proposals for this year's Ward 29 Participatory Budgeting vote. You will be deciding how you want to allocate $1 million of the ward's capital improvement budget for 2021.

You will first select the percentage of the 2021 29th Ward aldermanic menu budget to be devoted exclusively to street resurfacing. Second, you will be asked to select FIVE (5) projects to decide how the remainder of the 2021 29th Ward aldermanic menu budget should be allocated. You may choose up to FIVE (5) projects.

To vote, you will need to register by contacting the ward office or clicking on the link below and completing the form. After registering, you will receive a ballot code to enter below to vote.

After completing the ballot, we ask you to take just a few minutes more to participate in a short on-line exercise, comparing projects and their costs. This is part of the academic research that Stanford is doing, and is completely voluntary. After that is a survey to help us learn a little about you, the voters in our PB election. UIC’s Great Cities Institute is collecting this data to help us do a better job in engaging and informing the community in the future.

Thank you again for voting. Please tell your friends and family to vote as well!
