The Griot Party Experience presents Seeds to Gardens, a theatrical art experience featuring poetry and hip-hop dance performances aimed at educating and healing marginalized communities. Direct award to The Griot Party Experience. Community Impact: Teach individuals to use art as a tool to channel anger and emotions in a constructive way.

13. Community Arts Program Fund ($120,000)

Open a grant application process to fund community art programs and/or services. Community Impact: Offer an open and inclusive grant process that encourages community members to propose and implement projects that address local needs. Fosters community-driven solutions that enhance the well-being, economic resilience, and cultural vibrancy of the community, and empower residents to actively shape their future and create lasting, positive change.

11. Community Events: Funding to support local community events ($200,000)

Open a grant application process to fund local/annual community events. Community Impact: Request proposals for the following types of community events: Low Rider Block Party, Holiday Extravaganza, Night Market, and Farmer's Market.

3. Renaissance 2.0: Youth Performing Arts Program ($180,000)

After-school performing arts program offers weekly lessons for beginners aged 8-18, led by experienced local performing artists. Program runs for 12 weeks and concludes with a community recital where participants showcase their developed talents. Direct award to Acts on Stage Theater. Community Impact: Nurture the artistic growth of young people and provide them with a supportive environment to develop their skills and confidence while contributing to the cultural vitality of the community through a recital.

16. Feed the Streets Program: White Center Youth Mentorship & Support Program ($30,000)

Provide at-risk youths and young adults in White Center with free mentorship from local adults who grew up in the community. Through activities, discussions, and family-style dinners, it offers guidance, stability, and a sense of belonging to those lacking family support, helping them stay off the streets and make positive life choices. Direct award to Highly Hated, LLC 501(c)(3). Community Impact: Offer a critical lifeline to keep youths and young adults off the streets and engaged in positive, nurturing environments. By connecting them with local mentors and providing a stable support system, the program helps instill confidence, life skills, and a sense of family, creating a safer and more resilient community.

2. Thriving Business District ($200,000)

Establish a White Center Business Alliance to support local small businesses and community events. The Alliance would implement community art projects to support cleanup of graffiti. Direct award to White Center Business Alliance. Community Impact: Strengthen the local economy by supporting small businesses and fostering community events that bring people together. Beautify public spaces, enhance community pride, and create a more vibrant, interconnected neighborhood through initiatives like art murals for graffiti cleanup.

8. White Center Business Chronicles: Innovative Project ($75,000)

Document the journeys of eight business owners in White Center over 12 months and produce 16 mini-documentaries and additional content for social media. Provide an inside look at the challenges and successes of these businesses. Request for Proposal. Community Impact: Inspire local entrepreneurs, foster a self-sustaining economy, and highlight the importance of diverse representation in business development.

18. Cascade Middle School: Funding for Before School Program ($75,000)

Through a before-school program at a low-income middle school, provide a nutritious breakfast and a safe, supportive environment for students to start their day. Ensure that children have access to healthy meals and structured activities before school, helping to reduce food insecurity and improve academic performance. Direct award to Highline Schools Foundation. Community Impact: Offer a reliable breakfast and safe space for students before school to address critical needs in the community. Enhance both the physical and mental well-being of children. Promote better concentration and academic achievement while relieving the burden on families and fostering a stronger, healthier community.

14. Evergreen Aquatic: Free Swim Lessons ($26,000)

Amplify swim services and provide swim scholarships. Focus outreach on youths who are underserved and/or whose families have low incomes. Direct award to Evergreen Aquatic Center. 9. Evergreen Student Empowerment Initiative ($68,000)

Two-year initiative to provide financial support to 10 students per month, with support linked to the students' contributions to the school. The funds will support professional development opportunities through twice-yearly workshops and attendance at Association of Washington Student Leaders summer camps and establish a podcasting studio at Evergreen High School. Direct award to White Center CDA. Community Impact: Empower students to make a lasting impact on their school and community, fostering a culture of achievement and innovation at Evergreen High School.

17. Wolverine Select ($30,000)

Offer free Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Youth Basketball in White Center so local youths can participate in high-level competitive basketball without the financial burden of AAU fees. Ensure that all families, regardless of economic status, have access to positive athletic experiences for their children. Direct award to Highly Hated 501(c)(3). Community Impact: Empower White Center's youths to develop self-worth, leadership skills, and teamwork, fostering their growth into responsible and engaged members of society. Relieve financial pressure on families, creating a more inclusive and supportive community environment.

4. That’s My Play Cousin: Amplifying Voices Through Literature ($160,000)

Create "That’s My Play Cousin", an online platform dedicated to promoting scripts, performable literature, and digital content by people of color and people of faith. Supports independent writers by providing a global marketplace for their work, along with workshops and promotional support to help them craft and share their unique narratives. Direct award to Acts on Stage Theater. Community Impact: Empower marginalized voices by preserving and promoting their stories. Offer writers a platform to reach global audiences and ensure diverse perspectives.

Funding supports guest performers, expands performance skills, and equips students with instruments and uniforms. Direct award to Highline Schools Foundation. Community Impact: Enrich student access to music and dance, fostering mental well-being, celebrating cultural diversity, and building a sustainable arts pipeline that strengthens the community’s cultural fabric.

7. Scholarships for Evergreen High School Seniors ($80,000)

Provide 101 scholarships in increments of $500-$1000 to graduating Evergreen Seniors to help them offset college and career costs. Financial aid does not start until enrollment. Pays toward dorm costs, fees, transportation, and trade school equipment. Direct award to YES Foundation of White Center. Community Impact: Ease the financial burden of college and career expenses, empowering students to pursue higher education and vocational training without the immediate stress of covering dorm costs, fees, transportation, and trade school equipment.

6. Eazy Duz It: Youth Low Rider Bike Building Program ($87,950)

Teach kids advanced technical skills by guiding them as they build custom low rider bikes. Promotes teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving through a hands-on experience that blends mechanics, art, and culture. Direct award to Eazy Duz It Car Club 501(c)(3). Community Impact: Empower youths with valuable technical skills and foster community cohesion by encouraging collaboration, creativity, and cultural appreciation—all while building custom low rider bikes that reflect the participants' unique identities.
